About the event

Learn about the history of oysters, how they're grown and the different species that exist. We'll also practice oyster shucking and of course oyster tasting! Enjoy the chance to eat them raw, baked and fried paired with various toppings. You'll leave with armed with oyster knowledge and a newfound appreciation of these amazing creatures.

Soon after moving to Seattle 8 years ago, I fell in love with the local seafood industry. I've now worked for Hama Hama for seven years and oysters continue to amaze me. Teaching these oyster classes is one of the best parts of my job!
