About the event

Beyond the hype and myths surrounding aromatherapy, in this class, students will learn the basics of essential oils and how to utilize them safely and appropriately in their home and with their family. In addition to an introduction into essential oils, students will become familiar with carrier oils and items used to safely apply aromatics. Everyone will walk away with an inhaler, roller ball, jar of bath salts and a salve as well as a working reference of the most powerful family-friendly oils and how to obtain them. Snacks will be served that also correspond with some of the lessons in class!

Guest teacher, Nancy Sherry Baker, has a background in health education and is a formally trained aromatherapist with advanced training in: herbalism, aromatic medicine, and the endocannabinoid system. She is a professional member of the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapists. Nancy creates plant- based remedies sold online and utilized by local naturopaths.

This class is not recommended for those with bronchial reactivity, mast cell issues, or seizure disorders.
